About the Medical Clinic
We take pride in the fact that we are a small private practice located in the heart of the Proctor district in Tacoma. The practice is led by Dr. D. Andrew Loomis, MD, who works together with his family nurse practitioner Susan Clabots-Sheets ARNP,The providers are dedicated to providing high-quality care focusing on preventative care and symptom management for patients 5 years old and older.
Well child exams will ensure and monitor proper growth and development while providing the necessary immunizations and screenings/counseling for optimal health. Adult preventative examinations include age appropriate screening tests such as pap smears, mammograms, prostate cancer screening, screening for elevated cholesterol,diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and osteoporosis. We also offer screenings for sleep apnea.
Additionally, we offer medical visits for common acute illnesses, hospital follow-ups and chronic care for most long-term health conditions including screening/diagnosis of and treatment of many mental health conditions.

Dr. D. Andrew Loomis, MD
Dr. Loomis grew up in Tacoma and graduated from Stadium High School. He then attended Dartmouth College (graduating summa cum laude) and then attended the University of Washington medical school where he graduated with honors. He then returned to Tacoma to do this medical residency at Tacoma Family Medicine.
Dr. Loomis brings over 30 years of practice experience to try and help his patients acheive their best possible health outcomes. His practive emphasizes healthy behaviors, trying to minimize medication and strives for patient collaboration managing their healthcare needs.
Susan Clabots - Sheets, ARNP FNP-BC
Susan Clabots-Sheets is a family nurse practitioner (ARNP FNP-BC), who joined the practice in 2016. She completed her master's degree in in science of nursing at Pacific Lutheran University in 2010. While working as a registered nurse in the Critical Care Unit at St. Joseph Medical Center she completed her post masters degree at Gonzaga University as a family nurse practitioner. She is affiliated with many hospitals including St Joseph Medical Center, Tacoma General, and Allenmore Hospital.
